The Clean Energy Green Corridor, managed and funded by Ygrene, provides 100 percent financing to commercial and residential property owners for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation improvements.
The most common upgrades are water heaters, air conditioners, solar panels, impact windows and doors, and strengthened roofs, but hundreds of other types of upgrades can also qualify to be financed.
In December, the Town Council voted unanimously for Miami Lakes to join other Miami-Dade communities to become part of the groundbreaking Green Corridor District, and tap into more than $550 million of private capital funding for residential and commercial buildings.
