Looking for a fun, family-friendly activity over the summer? During the summer months, Miami Lakes will offer free fishing clinics and contests on the second and fourth Saturdays in June and July at Miami Lakes Optimist Park Marina, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.
The clinics will provide attendees with tips on proper catch and release techniques while the contests provide a competitively fun way to spend summer Saturdays with the family and an opportunity to win prizes for he largest fish and the most fish.
All lifejackets, fishing poles and bait will be provided free of charge.
Fishing Clinics are set for Saturday, June 13, and Saturday, July 11, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Fishing Contests are set for Saturday, June 27, and Saturday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to noon.
