'Furrever Friend for Lucas' GoFundMe needs funds to get service dog for Lucas

Community Wednesday, June 19, 2019

Lucas de Santis is a five year old boy with autism. His parents Dulce and Angelo de Santis started a campaign in April to raise money to get their son a service dog. Their goal is $25,000 and they’ve currently raised a little over $6,000.
Lucas would benefit from a service dog in numerous ways such as, calming effects, safety and mainly being a companion to him. Lucas tends to have many different behaviors and can get aggressive, having a service dog would help him tremendously.
Raising funds has been a struggle, since they need to raise the money by mid-February 2020 in order to receive the service dog by March of next year. They’ve already picked out the service dog they want, Tripp a poodle. The company they are getting Tripp from is Creating New Tails, which is based in South Florida.
Both Ducle and Angelo are trying every way possible to raise the necessary funds to get their son the help he needs. The go fund me link is: www.gofundme.com/furrever-friend-for-lucas.
