Get your bicycles ready for two events in Miami Lakes on March 14

Community Thursday, March 5, 2020

It will be all about bicycles in Miami Lakes on March 14.
That’s when there will be two events, for kids, and adults, too.
At 10 a.m. in Picnic Park West, the town and its Neighborhood Improvement Committee will hold a country and western-themed bicycle ride.
It leaves from the park at 15151 NW 82nd Ave.
Riders and passengers are asked to wear western-style gear, and to instead of a cowboy hat, use a bicycle helmet.
You can preregister at
www.TOMLeventbrite.com.
For more info contact William Sanchez at 305-364-6100 or sanchezw@miamilakes-fl.gov.
Also happening that morning is the 22nd Annual Bike Rodeo and Safety event at town hall, 6601 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Those who preregister at www.TOML.eventbrite.com will be entered into a raffle for a new bicycle, donated by Andy’s Police Supply, a sponsor of the rodeo.
Miami-Dade County Police will help kids learn about safe bike riding.
The first 200 residents to arrive may be eligible for a free helmet.
There will also be a bike safety course, a K-9 demonstration; a photo booth, music and other activities.
Nari BMX of Miami Lakes, who the town says is known as the world’s youngest BMX stunt show rider, will perform with the BMX TRICKSTARS.
