Thanks to the support and generous donations from Artist and Craftsman Supply and Senator Rene Garcia the club was able to provide a $1,000 scholarship to advance a young artist’s education.

GFWC Woman's Club of Hialeah was founded on May 4, 1922, by Lau A. Curtis and Mrs. James Bright. The main goal of the woman’s club was to establish a library for the city of Hialeah which was accomplished through the volunteer efforts of the members in 1925.

The GFWC Woman’s Club of Hialeah is a volunteer women’s service organization, providing opportunities for education, leadership training, and community service to its members through the participation of the General Federation of the Women’s Clubs, the GFWC Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs, Miami-Dade County and our community, enabling them to make a difference in the lives of others.
