Delvis Fernandez, the bartender at Shula’s Steakhouse-The Original in Miami Lakes, was recognized on December 3 with a cocktail reception for being designated as one of the “Most Imaginative Bartenders in 2013.”
Sponsored by GQ Magazine and Bombay Sapphire, Fernandez traveled to Las Vegas in September to compete among 46 of the nation’s top bartenders. Representing Shula’s Steakhouse, Fernandez created a unique drink for the competition and called it “The Winning Edge,” a tribute to Coach Shula’s book with the same name.
The drink is made with Bombay Sapphire, African blue Basil, St. Germain liquor and Aperol, only to be accented with a splash of fresh lime and lemon. The notable drink is available at Shula’s Steakhouse in Miami Lakes.
