Waymo has been spotted on the streets of Miami Lakes.
In late July, a Waymo was seen circling town center. The service, which is owned by Google, offers self-driving cars which provide rideshare services similar to Uber and Lyft. However this car was being driven, and not carrying passengers. Typically when Waymo goes to a new area, it first sends driver-operated cars to map and research.
Waymo service began in Miami in January 2026 and currently offers rides in the city as well as areas including Little Havana, West Miami, Coral Gables and South Miami. In April, the company announced that they would be expanding to Miami Beach.
The company has not yet publicly announced any plans for Miami Lakes service.
