Community Wednesday, May 2, 2018

The Latino Center on Aging (LCA), in partnership with Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee, will host an Alzheimer’s Conference in Spanish to educate and inform Spanish-speaking Miami Lakes residents of all the latest information on the disease.

The conference will be held on Wednesday, May 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Miami Lakes Optimist Clubhouse, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.

LCA’s unique mission is to improve the lives of Latino seniors through advocacy and education. The organization’s challenge is to increase knowledge on the hardships faced by the elderly, and to assist in the creation of new programs and services directed towards them.
