Miami Lakes ghosts and goblins are invited to attend the Town’s Youth Activities Task Force’s annual Halloween event, “Nightmare on Montrose” beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue.
Event sponsor is Andy’s Police Supplies with additional sponsorship support from Specialty Smiles and the Law Firm of Gloria Garcia.
The free event will feature pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, costume parade, music, food trucks, and more frightening activities including the even-growing “scare zone.”
The event timeline includes:
• 5 p.m. – Trick or treating starts and Photo Booth is opened
• 5:30 p.m. – Pumpkin decorating starts
• 6 p.m. – Costume Parade and Dance
• 6:15 p.m. – Costume competition starts
• 6:45 p.m. – Council introductions and winners announced
• 7 to 9 p.m. – Scare Zone
