Local schools offer summer food service through August 1

Several Miami-Dade County Public Schools in northwest Miami-Dade are participating in the Food Service Summer Program for Children from now to August 1.

Nutritionally balanced meals will be provided to all children regardless of race, color, sec, disability, age or national origin during the summer vacation period when school breakfasts and lunches are not available. All children, 18 years old and younger, are eligible for meals at no charge at the identified school sites.

Participating schools in northwest Miami-Dade include Joella Good Elementary, Palm Springs North Elementary, Spanish Lake Elementary, County Club Middle School, Hialeah Gardens Middle School and Hialeah Gardens Senior High School.
