M. Lakes Chamber welcomes Postmaster Orlando De La Osa

Hialeah Postmaster Orlando De La Osa is the guest speaker for the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce monthly membership luncheon, scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, at Don Shula’s Hotel. 

De La Osa was promoted to the postmaster position in 2011.

He started his career in the postal serve as a letter carrier for the city of Hialeah. 

He was promoted to superintendent of Station Operations in 1991 and subsequently promoted to manager customer services in Hialeah.

De La Osa was also detailed to Coral Gables Branch in 2004 and Miami Flagler Station in 2005, the largest delivery unit in the South Florida district at the time.

In 2006, he was promoted to manager customer service operation in Ft. Lauderdale where he served until being detailed to flat sorting sequence coordinator for the South Florida District at the Royal Palm Distribution Center in Opa-locka in 2009.

De La Osa earned an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees from Muscatine College in Iowa.

He spends the majority of his spare time with his two grandchildren, Dominic and Devin.

Networking starts at 11:30 and lunch is served at 12 noon. Deadline to reserve a table is Friday, April 3 at 2 p.m..
