The Miami Lakes Garden Club has invited residents to attend the 2014 Annual Tea Party at the Roberto Alonso Community Center located at 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue, on Saturday, March 1.
Following the successful Kentucky Derby theme of 2013, the Garden Club presents a colorful New Orleans Bourbon Street Mardi Gras theme this year. Decor will exude the Mardi Gras theme with beads and feathers. It promises to be a fun filled afternoon of good food, tea, prizes and a Chinese auction.
This is a great opportunity to have an introduction to all the fine projects and programs the club conducts throughout the year and to become a member of the Miami Lakes Garden Club.
All guests are encouraged to wear a carnival mask. A contest among guests will select the "most original" and "most attractive" masks. Prizes will be awarded.
The club will serve assorted delicious tea sandwiches and petite desserts.
