Main St. Players change of pace Dec. 21-22

As a change to the usual gentle family fare offered this time of year, the Main Street Players is presenting a little something just for adults.

“Things You Shouldn’t Say Past Midnight: A Comedy in Three Beds,” is a hilarious and bawdy sex farce being presented as a play reading at 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, and at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street in Miami Lakes.

In the heat of lovemaking, an ethnic slur is uttered leading to a sublimely ridiculous 3 a.m. conference call involving three pairs of lovers – a quarreling couple, an oversexed vixen and her hitman lover, and a gay psychologist and his much older lover.

Directed by Andres E. Hernandez, this original work was written by Peter Ackerman of the “Ice Age” movies fame and ran off-Broadway for six months and regionally throughout the United States.

The reading features Nori Tecosky (Nancy), Lito Becerra (Ben), Brianna Mackey (Grace), John Olivera (Gene), Ron Torres (Mark), and Steve Goldstein (Mr. Abramson).

Tickets, which are restricted to adults only, are $5 each and can be purchased at the door or online at www.mainstreetplayers.com. For more information, call 305-558-3737.
