Main St Players present Real Women Have Curves running Feb. 3 to 26

Community Thursday, February 2, 2017

On Friday, February 3, the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street, opens Real Women Have Curves, Main Street Players’ first professional production.

The cast and production staff have worked tirelessly to bring this show to the stage, learning lines, refining their Mexican accents, building and decorating the set, and everything else that is necessary to give the show authenticity.

Rehearsals began in early January, but preparations that were necessary to transition from a community theater group to a professional one began much earlier. The five-woman cast includes Rei Capote, Amber-Lynn Benson, Icela Marliese, Vanessa Elise and Marcela Paguaga.

The show is directed by Tatyana-Marie Carlo, stage manager is Cindy Castillo, and production manager is Dennis Lyzniak. Real Women Have Curves runs from February 3– February 26, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm.

Tickets are $30 for adults, and $25 for students, seniors, and military personnel, and may be purchased in advance at www.mainstreetplayers.com or at the door 30 minutes prior to showtime.
