The Main Street Players will host “Our Culture On Stage” in May, a festival of Hispanic and Latino song, dance and theater at the Main Street Playhouse during three weekends.
May 2 – 4: “Unfold: The Immigration Plays” written and directed by Ricky J. Martinez. One-act plays about the complexities of immigration will be performed. Curtain is at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for students and seniors.
May 9: Noche Flamenca with flamenco dancers will be held at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50.
May 10: Bohemia en Rojo Cabaret Monologues, poetry, music and dance. Drinks and light bites served. Performances begin at 8 p.m. The MSP Afters A DJ and comedians perform, beverages available. From 10 p.m. - midnight. Tickets for both events are $30 for adults, $25 for students and seniors.
May 11 A Mother’s Day Fair, with shopping, community, cafecito and love. Free. 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
May 16 - 17 “Our Culture on Stage” is a series of three short plays: “Roller Rink Requiem” by Steven Guez; “Salida” by Nicholas Quintana and “El Dia Que Me Quieras” by Emily Garcia Carrerou. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for students and seniors.
May 18 Familia Fun Day Free celebration with games, prizes, sweet treats and live performances for all ages. 2 p.m.
