The Foundation for New Education Initiatives, Inc. will host the inaugural “On The March – Miami-Dade County Public Schools Marching Band Classic” to showcase the District’s marching bands and to raise funds for the participating bands. The march will take place at Tropical Park, 7900 S.W. 40 Street in Miami.
The Foundation is a M-DCPS direct-support organization created by the School Board to seek philanthropic funding to support the District’s students and programs. The event promises to be a great day of family fun and entertainment, as well as an opportunity to support the participating bands.
Marching bands participating are from the following senior high schools: Miami Southridge, South Dade, Hialeah Gardens, Miami Central, Booker T. Washington, Miami Jackson, American, Hialeah Miami Lakes, Hialeah, South Miami, Miami Northwestern, and Miami Norland.
