The 2021 Mayor’s Gala held on Sept. 25 to benefit the Miami Lakes Special Needs Advisory Board raised $24,503. A check was presented during the Nov. 9 town council meeting. It was Mayor Manny Cid’s third gala, and was produced by Joseph Sosa, assistant to the mayor.
The Special Needs Advisory Board provides services to the community and makes recommendations to town government and police about serving residents who may have different abilities.
The Trelles Cottage online boutique donated $670 to the board. Shown above are elected officials, Special Needs Advisory Board members and gala sponsors.
