Miami Lakes Branch Library has the following programs available for the public during November:
For Children:
Family Game Day! – Come to the library and enjoy time with your family playing board games. For all ages. Meets at 3 p.m. on Saturdays, November 9 and 23.
Reading Ready Toddler Storytime – Stories, songs and activities for toddlers and their caregivers. For ages 18 months to 3 years old. Registration required. Meets at 11 a.m. on Thursdays, November 7, 14 and 21.
Paws 2 Read – Certified therapy dogs listen as children read aloud and practice their reading skills. For all ages at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 9.
For Teens:
Teen Club: Games and More – Teens, ages 12-19, meet to play video games, watch anime, draw, or discuss books, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, and Tuesday, November 26. Celebrate International Teen Game Day - Teens only, ages 12-19. A gaming extravaganza at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12.
Tween Book Club - This is a tween book club for ages 8-12. Members meet once a month to discuss the chosen book of the month. Registration required. Meets at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16.
For Adults:
Book Discussion Group – Monthly meetings to discuss books of interest. Contact the branch to find out the title of the book. Meets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19.
Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Community Outreach – A member of Congressman Diaz-Balart’s staff will visit the library to discuss federal issues or any problem a constituent may have with a federal agency. Outreach is available from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27.
