Miami Lakes Branch Library sets programs for balance of August

Miami Lakes Branch Library announced the following programs that are available for the public during August:

For Children and Families:

Library Lego Club – Join for monthly Lego builds at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 19.
Movies and Stories for Kids – Enjoy watching some of our favorite movies with your family and friends. Call or visit branch for movie listings. Presented by the Town of Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16 and 30.

For Teens:
Teen Club – Play video games, watch anime, draw, play Dungeons & Dragons or discuss books. Designed for ages 12-18 at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22.

Teen Club Presents: Fidget Spinners – Make your own fidget spinner and compete against others to see which one spins the fastest! Space is limited so contact the branch to register. Scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29.  

For Adults: 
USCIS Information Table – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service staff will provide information, materials and answer general questions about the citizenship process, at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28.

Mario Diaz-Balart Outreach Table – A member of Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart’s staff will be available to discuss federal issues and address any concerns a constituent may have with a federal agency from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23.

Miami Lakes Branch Library is located at 6699 Windmill Gate Road and is open Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The branch is closed on Sundays. For more information, call 305-822-6520.
