Miami Lakes Congregational Church’s (MLCC) Concert Series will present a Spring Piano Recital at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, at the church, 6701 Miami Lakeway South.
The concert will featured acclaimed Cuban-American flutist Ernesto Fernandez.
Miami is known for its diverse Latin culture and top-notch musicians. This concert will feature jazz music from several Latin American countries and especially music from Cuba.
Afro-Cuban jazz, rhythmically based on Cuban popular dance music, often with a rhythm section employing ostinato patterns or a clave.
A versatile musician skilled in both classical and Latin genres, Fernandez has performed in Italy, Switzerland, Mexico, Grand Cayman, Nicaragua, Toronto, Cleveland, New York, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Chicago, Charlotte, and New Orleans.
