The UCC Women of Miami Lakes Congregational Church (MLCC) have been holding a Spring and Fall rummage sale for over 25 years. Profits from the sales have benefited different local and global charities as well as needy families and individuals in the community.
This year’s Spring Rummage Sale is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, at the church located at 6701 Miami Lakeway South, across from Miami Lakes K-8 Center.
Ruby Holihan, a member of MLCC, has been the force behind the rummage sales for 15 consecutive years. She tirelessly helps collect, clean and frequently store and transport the items to the church for the sale.
“We have all sorts of used items for sale – clothing, shoes, appliances, and more,” said. “The money raised helps other people, and we get to help the planet in a small way by reusing and recycling.”
