Miami-Dade County’s Mosquito Control and Habitat Management Division will hold a “Mosquito 101” workshop at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, at the Miami Lakes Branch Library, 6699 Windmill Gate Road.
Department representatives will share the history of mosquito control in Miami-Dade, discuss he main mosquito species found in the area, offer a look at country mosquito control initiatives, and most importantly, talk about how residents can limit the ways in which mosquitoes breed and thrive.
Staffers will also talk at length about protective measures, take questions, and distribute take-home literature.
