There is a change in the way residents may sign up for recreational activities, youth sports or to reserve park pavilions in Miami Lakes.
The town is providing its CivicRec web page to accept those arrangements.
The move from the former software site etrak was made Aug. 1 and residents must use the new system.
Users who have log ins for etrak will have all their credentials moved to CivicRec, the town said, though some users may need to reset their information.
To access CivicRec visit www.miamilakes-fl.gov/parkres. For questions email Special Projects Manager John Yanes at yanesj@miamilakes-fl.gov.
The town’s youth programming begins Sept. 6. Parents and guardians seeking information can attend an open house on Aug. 19.
That’s when information about town dance classes; martial arts; archery; Smart Start (basketball and football for kids ages 3 – 5) and the “Just Run” run club will be available.
That’s also when early registration will begin, from 8 a.m. at Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 NW 82nd Ave.
Kids as young as 3 years old can participate in the various programs, though each class has specific requirements that may need to be met.
All programs begin in September. Both dance classes and martial arts meet through June 7; archery, Smart Start basketball and soccer are held in two sessions and Just Run is held through May 24.
