The Optimist Club of Miami Lakes is beginning registration for its flag football program. Parents may register their children in person at the front entrance of Miami Lakes Middle School, 6425 Miami Lakeway North, on Saturdays November 9, 16, 23, and December 7, 14, 21, 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Parents can also register their children online at www.miaflag.com. The registration fee is $100 for in-person registration and $110 to register online. The league is open to boys and girls aged 5-15. League games will be played Saturday mornings at Royal Oaks Park, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue.
The Spring season runs from January 25 to April 12, 2014. No games will be played March 22 or 29 due to Miami-Dade County Public Schools' Spring Break.
