Our Neighborhoods Eagle Nest Condominium

Community By Megan Jacobo, Reporter Wednesday, December 2, 2020

History

The Eagle Nest Condominium complex is a three-story community that has just 60 units.

The Sengra Corporation, later known as The Graham Companies, built the property in 1983.

It is in the northeast section of Miami Lakes, tucked along Gage Place at Turnbull Drive in a residential neighborhood that also has churches and schools.

Amenities

The community has a swimming pool, elevators, assigned parking for residents and plenty of guest parking spots, too.

The neighborhood is near Town Hall and the stores and restaurants along Main Street, and is also walking distance to a Publix shopping center.

Miami Lakes K-8 Center for students enrolled in kindergarten through eighth grade is close by, as is Miami Lakes Middle School for those who attend classes in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades.

The Palmetto Expressway and roads that lead to Interstate 75 are a short drive from the community.

Who lives there?

Most residents own their homes; a small percentage of tenants rent, GRS Management, Inc. said on behalf of the homeowner’s association.

Former Miami Lakes Vice Mayor and Councilman Tim Daubert has lived in Eagle Nest Condominiums for two years.

He said his favorite part about Eagle Nest is “how quiet” it is.

Lynn Matos, a Realtor with RE/MAX Unique Realty, said of the community, “Eagle Nest Condominiums are conveniently located just east of [Northwest] 67th Avenue.  Nestled among the trees in this awesome residential neighborhood, the units offer great floor plans with generous living areas. Many of the residents are long-time owners.”

What does it cost?

There are currently three homes listed for sale, ranging from $175,000 to $189,000 for a one-bedroom home with one-and-a-half baths. Other units have two bedrooms and two baths.

The monthly HOA fee is $320, according to GRS

Management.

The fee covers insurance for the community and maintenance of common areas, the company said.
