Our Neighborhoods Miami Lakes Golf Course Village

Community By David Snelling, Reporter Wednesday, December 16, 2020

History

Miami Lakes Golf Course Village is a townhome and villas community of 144 residences in the center of town, east of the Palmetto Expressway.

Built in 1969 by what is now called The Graham Companies, it is south of Miami Lakes Drive and the Cypress Village Shopping Center.

The community is bordered by Big Cypress Drive, Twin Sabal Drive and Miami Lakeway South.

Amenities

Some of the homes abut the Executive Par 3 course of Shula’s Golf Club. Other property owners have views of Lake Mary or are on dry lots.

The community has a European feel, with walled entrances for the townhomes and villas that lead to courtyards.

All the backyards are enclosed, too, said Realtor Art Rodriguez of Miami Lakes, who leads the Art Rodriguez Team with Coldwell Banker.

The residences range from one bedroom and one bath to two bedrooms and two baths and three bedrooms and 2.5 baths.

The smallest units are about 1,000 square feet; larger homes are up to 7,000 square feet in size.

Some of the property owners belong to a homeowners association.

The amenities include views of the golf course and the lake.

Also, being able to walk to the stores and restaurants at Cypress Village Shopping Center as well as to the Senator Course at Shula’s Golf Course is a plus.  Miami Lakes K-8 Center is also close by.

What does it cost?

Three homes are currently in contract and expected to close by the end of the year: a 1,055 square foot, two-bedroom, one bath home at 7421 Twin Sabal Drive listed for $319,000; a 1,740 square foot home with three bedrooms and two baths at 7367 Big Cypress Court offered for $365,500 and a 1,333 square foot home with two bedrooms and two baths, at 7368 Big Cypress Court is also on the market, for $365,000.

Three home sales in the past six months include a property with three bedrooms and two baths for $340,000; a three-bedroom, 2.5 baths unit which sold for $378,000 and one with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths went for $385,000, Rodriguez said.
