History

Silvercrest Lake Estates North is a fully developed, gated community with 80 single-family homes on the west side of Miami Lakes.
LUXCOM builders developed the neighborhood in 2002.
The neighborhood is north of Miami Lakes Drive, between Northwest 79th Avenue and Northwest 82nd Avenue.
A sister property,
Silvercrest Lake Estates South, is just next door.
Some of the properties are built around a lake and most homes have in-ground pools.

Amenities

The guardhouse screens drivers for identification and calls homeowners before letting visitors through.
Two-story homes may have five bedrooms, four bathrooms and two-car garages or six bedrooms, five bathrooms and garages with spaces for three cars.
The community is within walking distance to the Park Centre Shops and Royal Oaks Plaza, which are both along the Drive.
Bob Graham Education Center, for students enrolled in kindergarten through eighth grade, is nearby.
For commuters, The Palmetto Expressway and roads that lead to Interstate 75 are also close.

Who lives there?

There is mix of retirees and business professionals in the community that is welcoming to families. Some homes have basketball hoops in their driveways.

Balde-Bartschi bought their home in February from Realtor Vera Cox, who is with Coldwell Banker.
“We were attracted to the larger lots as well as the lake in Silvercrest,” said Brett Balde-Bartschi. “We also enjoy the added security, [with] having the community gated.”
He said the the neighbors are very friendly.
“We spend a lot of our free time at [our] pool overlooking the beautiful lake and feeling blessed to be here,” he said.

What does it cost?

There are currently two homes listed for sale at $639,000 and $730,000, for five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
“[The] Silvercrest community has a low turnover rate,” said Perla Roiz, a Realtor Associate with The Keyes
Company. “Silvercrest is a pristine community in the heart of Miami Lakes and one of the communities that has private roads, excellent security and maintenance provided by its association.”
Each property owner pays a $245 monthly homeowner’s association fee, according to Gables Professional
Management, which serves the HOA.
