These three gals live with the Ivey family -- Josefa, Dale, Stephen and Stephanie -- on the east side of Miami Lakes.
Though they are all Chihuahuas or partly descended from that breed, they have distinct personalities, Josefa Ivey says.
And they go everywhere with the family.
“Lucy, we think she’s part Beagle,” Ivey said of their pet who is 2 years old. “She’s got the character of Lucille Ball. She puts rocks from outside under my bed. I love that dog.”
As for Pearl, 3, “My daughter takes her everywhere,” Ivey said. “She loves sightseeing, going to the beach or the park.”
Misty, 5, seen above at right while shopping at Home Depot, is nicknamed “Applehead.”
“She has a routine and a route, and she marches through the house,” Ivey said. “She also uses a doggie door.”
The pups all get along and play, though Misty often stands back while the others chase each other around the house.
“Misty’s the spectator,” Ivey said.
