Clinical Trials

Two COVID-19 treatment and prevention studies by Johns Hopkins University, in collaboration with the University of Miami Health System, are seeking people recently exposed to the coronavirus or those diagnosed with it. Clinical trials will assess whether convalescent blood plasma is effective as an outpatient treatment. Organizers hope to enroll essential workers, health care workers, home aides, elderly persons and parents/caregivers of children.

Participants must be at least 18, tested within five days, have received a positive diagnosis, have ongoing symptoms for less than 8 days without hospitalization or have no symptoms but had contact within three days with someone who has the virus.
