Romantic comedy films in Miami Lakes

Strollers along Main Street in Miami Lakes came upon an unusual sight: A television movie crew filming a show outside Shula’s Hotel.

“La Suerte de Loli” (Loli’s Fate) filmed scenes in town on Nov. 18.

The Telemundo network bills the program as a romantic comedy.

“La Suerte de Loli” does not have a release date, other than it’s to premiere in early 2021, a network publicist said.

The actors working that day were Fernando Carrera, shown in the photo above right, and Rodrigo Vidal.

The men were filmed saying their lines while inside a black limousine before Carrera got out of the car and walked toward the hotel lobby.

Lead actors in the cast are Silvia Navarro as Loli, Osvaldo Benavides, Gaby Espino, Joaquin Ferreira, Mariana Seoane.

Telemundo said special performances by Carlos Ponce, Jacky Bracamontes, Jeimy Osorio and Jesus More are planned.

The plot revolves around Loli, a carefree, single and happy media executive on the west coast.

Her best friend dies, leaving her two children to Loli, who is totally unprepared for motherhood.

      Chaos and personal growth ensue.

You can follow the show’s teasers (and see if you can spot the scenes filmed on Bull Run Road in front of the hotel) on Twitter @SuerteDeLoli.
