The South Florida Youth Symphony will hold its 17th Summer Music Academy from June 16 through July 11 at Miami Lakes Congregational Church, 6701 Miami Lakeway South, across from Miami Lakes K-8 Center.
The academy is open to children ages 7 to 17 with instrumental lessons, ensembles, theory, composition and more. A free hot lunch is provided. A final concert is scheduled at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 11.
Fee for the four-week camp is $425 for the first child and $195 for a sibling. Partial scholarships are available for families who qualify. Registration deadline is May 30.
