Town of Miami Lakes will host the State of Florida Fire Marshall’s Office at a Community Meeting on Construction Mining at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, in the Town Hall Council Chambers, 6601 Main Street.
The presentation will be made by Julius Halas, director of the Division of State Fire Marshall.
As jurisdiction and regulation over blasting activities rests with the State’s Fire Marshall’s Office, Halas will provide information regarding the laws governing construction materials mining activities in the state of Florida, listen to concerns and answer questions.
