Symphony of the Americas concert scheduled for Aug. 12

Community Friday, August 4, 2017

Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee is inviting the community to attend Summerfest 2017 for an evening of classical music beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, at Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 N.W. 67 Avenue.

Each year, the Symphony of the America’s Summerfest hosts international acclaimed foreign chamber ensembles, musicians and soloists as well as select Symphony musicians for a tour of concerts through South Florida.

For its Miami Lakes performance, Summerfest will include compositions from Italian composer/pianist Lorenzo Turchi-Flores as well as Swiss guitarist Alessio Nebiolo, violinist Valentin Mansurov of Uzbekistan, and Mexican violist David Pedraza.

Led by Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese, Summerfest is the longest running musical festival in all of Florida as well as one of the highest rated cultural projects.

More than 10 different countries will be showcased this year including the Gewandhaus Orchester of Germany, Austria’s Arpeggione Chamber Orchestra, the Mission Chamber Orchestra of Rome, Orchestra Symphonique du Mont Blanc (France), the Hungarian Virtuosi, and others.
