The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes works on behalf of women
The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes continued its mission of supporting women and girls with a donation of toiletries,
children’s clothing and books to Lotus House in Miami.
Club members collected the items through the year for the facility, where they also volunteer.
Lotus House is a residence that provides resources to homeless women and children.
The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes is a member of Zonta International, a century old, world-wide organization of professional and businesswomen who work together to advance the status of women.

That includes promoting justice and respect for women’s rights and gender equality, according to the organization’s website.
Zontians in Miami Lakes work toward those goals by performing
community service and raising funds for charities.
