Town honors Antonio de la Hoz of Casavana Cuban Cuisine for service to community

     The Town Council of Miami Lakes presented Antonio de la Hoz, manager and co-owner of the Casavana Cuban Cuisine restaurant, with a proclamation at its May 20 council meeting. De la Hoz was honored by Mayor Josh Dieguez and the council for his commitment to the community. Citing his donation of food during the COVID-19 Pandemic, feeding elders; sponsoring the Miami Lakes Optimist Club and the American Senior High School softball team; serving military service members; providing food for the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce Business Expo; donating food to the Our Lady of the Lakes Carnival and to the Zonta Club of Miami Lakes, Dieguez announced that May 20 was “Antonio de la Hoz Day.” From left: Fla.
