On May 23, the Town of Miami Lakes launched a Town Bicycle Inspection Program, a new initiative, which led staff members to mount bicycles and head out into the field to see firsthand some properties which canal stabilization problems, progress of ongoing greenway trail projects, and neighborhoods with drainage issues.
Escorted by a bike-unit police officer, staff members will take the information learned on the tour to help create better solutions to these issues.
