“We do still have cable,” Melissa Aura Martinez said.  “It’s just because we take care of our grandfather and because he likes to watch his shows.”

Jennifer Lajud  Co-Owner, Bon Vivant Charcuterie & Gourmet Market Kendall

“I have cut cable, we did so during COVID and we stream everything,” Jennifer Lajud said.  “We have every platform, we have all of them.    ... Sometimes when there is something we want to watch on one streaming channel, we’ll get it, watch, see what else we want to binge and cancel it.”

Josh Dieguez Attorney, Mayor of Miami Lakes Miami Lakes

“I haven’t had cable since I moved out on my own,” Josh Dieguez said. “I did cut the cable cord. I do my streaming services, I have most of the ones I care for. If there is one I want, I will activate it to watch what’s on it.”

Virnalis Arvelo Language Arts Teacher, Miami Lakes K-8 Center Miami Lakes

“Yes, we cut the cable a few years ago and my family streams from a variety of different sources,” Virnalis Arvelo said.  “We have everything.”

Ana Isabel Hevia Co-Owner, Forme Pilates  Miami Lakes

“We haven’t cut cable, we have AT&T,” Ana Isabel Hevia said. “We don’t have any streaming services.”

Alexandra Herrera interviewed our Town Topics talkers and photographed Jennifer Lajud. Jose Dieguez and Virnalis Arvelo shared their photos and Matthew Casamayor took the pictures of Melissa Aura Martinez and Ana Isabel Hevia. We thank you all!
