Town Topics: How would you camouflage the new cell tower on NW 154th St.?

Alex Miranda  Founding Partner  Virtrify HR Solutions  Miramar

“You know how there are cows across Miami Lakes?” Alex Miranda said. “Put it in cow print. It’s Miami Lakes. On the pole, you [could] put a Veterans [banner]. I think it needs an ad.”

Magaly Rubio Broker Associate Coldwell Banker Miami Lakes

“It is impossible to cover it, it’s an eye sore,” Magaly Rubio said.  “It’s too inside town. It should be on the outskirts of the town.”

Marie Korenstein President, Zonta Club of Miami Lakes Miami Lakes

“We are very proud of our cows in this town,” Marie Korenstein wrote in an email. “I would paint the top of tower [as] a cow on a cell phone, with big lashes. Whimsical, for the town to enjoy. It should be pink, a happy color.”

Stephanie Cruz  Lawyer Miami Lakes

“I would prefer that the cell tower be removed given its awkward location and unpleasant aesthetic,” Stephanie Cruz wrote in an email.  “Nevertheless, in the efforts of camouflaging it I would negotiate with the tower owner T-Mobile, to incapsulate the cell tower in a square shape that could be painted as a mural with colorful depictions of the town.”

Juan Estrada Pharmacist Member, Neighborhood Improvement Committee Miami Lakes

“I think we should wrap or paint them to resemble oak trees and add a few aesthetic “branches,”” Juan Estrada wrote in an email. “At least those leaves won’t shed!”
