Lynn Cole Retired Paralegal Miami Lakes

“I think they need to restrict development because of the traffic situation,” Lynn Cole said. “The air traffic too [at Miami-]Opa-Locka [Executive Airport] has become intolerable. It’s every 20 minutes over the house.”

Rosario Navarro Chair, Elderly Affairs Committee Realtor Associate, Fortune International Realty, Miami Lakes

“I think we need to be more pedestrian friendly, because some of the [roads] are hard to walk and cross,” Rosario Navarro said. “Our town is great, the Freebee is great, we need more … transportation.”

Miriam Campos Retired Bank Teller Miami Lakes

“I think to take care of the streets; we need more police in the neighborhoods and to [remind] residents to move [trash] cans after the trucks pass, to keep Miami Lakes beautiful,” Miriam Campos said.

Maria Borges Retired Librarian, Miami-Dade County Public Library System and Miami Dade College Miami Lakes

“I think we need to continue to work on the traffic issues, but not in a way that is going to impact the residents negatively,” Maria Borges said. “All of the traffic surveys that we do seem to happen when school is out of session and not when school is in session. So if they actually survey traffic when kids are in school and parents are going to pick up their kids, we would see we have a much bigger problem than they think.”

Omar Sepulveda Member, Elderly Affairs and Cultural Affairs Committees Business Development, Quantum Trade Miami Lakes

“We are a doing a lot of things for the community but there is always room for improvement when it comes to the parks,” Omar Sepulveda said. “I feel that we have a lot of empty space that we can definitely use to provide space for our pets. Our dog park is very limited, and the parking is very dangerous. I drive by there every morning. If it were me, I would relocate the dog park [somewhere with] a better parking facility.”
