Monsignor Edward Pace High School's poets, singers, and thespians came together on the evening of January 15 to take part in Pace’s annual Open Mic Night.
Katherine Palacio and the Literary Guild club coordinated the event with senior Nina Pulley taking the lead in organizing the evening. Students with various interests and talents, from various electives and clubs such as theatre and writing, wrote original poems, creative pieces, monologues and songs to perform.
The school’s new administration building was transformed into a cozy coffee house complete with lights, snacks, and sweets. Friends and family watched as the creative bunch grabbed the mic and performed for the intimate gathering.
The event was a success, and students have already started preparing for Pace's next annual Open Mic Night.
