Education Wednesday, June 15, 2016

Aurora Garcia-Hoare was awarded the “City of Hialeah’s 2016 E.M.I. Parent of the Year” for her continuous dedication and commitment. She is Jose Marti’s MAST Academy’s (JMMA) top volunteer, according to the school.

Garcia-Hoare is the one parent present before, during and after all after school and weekend activities. Aside from being exceptionally reliable, she is an active parent who deeply cares to make the school the best it can be for all students. As a PTSA Board Uniform Chair member, she is highly involved in the recruiting magnet fairs as one of the main speakers/representatives for JMMA.

Additionally, she demonstrates her continued involvement in supporting Future Educators of America (FEA), National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) clubs by planning multiple activities.

She is also the top cheerleader at swim meets and soccer games; while also helping different clubs organize and fundraise for their annual activities. She was instrumental in many of NJHS’s charity projects.

The administrators of the school stated collectively, “We are all grateful for Aurora Garcia-Hoare and on behalf of José Martí MAST, we thank you for your commitment to education and our students.”
