Bob Graham Education Center (BGEC) announced that the school participated in the 2018 Jumpstart Read for the Record campaign on Thursday, October 25. This global campaign supports high-quality early learning, and highlights the importance of building children's vocabulary and promoting a love for reading.
Children and adults worldwide were scheduled to take action by participating in the world's largest shared reading experience by reading the same book on the same day. The 2018 campaign book, “Maybe Something Beautiful” by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell celebrates the magic that can happen when a community comes together to create something beautiful to bring about change.
Principal Yecenia Martinez set aside time on that day to read this special book to the pre-kindergarten classes.
