A group of middle school art students from Bob Graham Education Center participated in the contest titled “School Art for Mankind.” This contest, put together by the organization Street Art for Mankind, entailed creating a sculpture out of shoe boxes which would bring awareness to child forced labor around the world.

The BGEC group, which named itself The Bobcat Visionaries, placed fifth out of a large number of participants throughout the district. Images of their work have been posted on several social media sites including Facebook and Twitter. The sculpture will be part of the Street Art for Mankind exhibit which will take place from February 10 through 20. The school administration gave special thanks to the group’s teacher, Elena Pita. for her dedication and creativity in leading this talented group of students.
