The Bob Graham Education Center Civics Engagement Academy participated in the nationwide civic competition “We the People.” The school administration and faculty were proud of the students who came in first place at the district level competition.
This elite team of students represented Miami-Dade County Public Schools at the state level in Orlando on Friday, January 13, where they earned first place. The group received the Professionalism Award, Best Overall Unit 3 Award and Best Overall Unit 5 Awards. The team will now move on to compete in nationals. They are led by teachers Jackie Fernandez, Ingy Cruz and John Brady who worked diligently to prepare the students for all levels of competition and the one yet to come.
