BGEC's Bobcat dancers compete at American Dance Alliance event

The Bobcat dance competition team of Bob Graham Education Center and their coach Mayri Martinez participated in the State Competition that took place at Charles F. Dodge City Center. It was held on January 27 and it was hosted by The American Dance Alliance. This is the second competition of the season and the Bobcats competed in several categories against several magnet schools. The team received three third place awards for Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary. They also took home fifth place and sixth place for their duets and fifth place for ensemble. The captain of the Bobcat dance team, Cassandra Balmaseda qualified as one of the top ten soloists with her Bird Contemporary Routine. Overall, the girls looked beautiful and had outstanding performances! All their hard work continues to display the leadership from their coach.
