The Bobcat Law Society students at Bob Graham Education Center last week won first place at the District’s We the People competition and will be representing Miami-Dade County at the state competition next month.
The eighth-grade students simulated a congressional hearing in which they testified before a panel of volunteer attorneys, educators and leaders demonstrating their understanding of the constitutional principles and opportunities to evaluate, take positions and ultimately defend those positions on relevant historical and contemporary issues.
