Bob Graham Education Center recognizes teachers

Bob Graham Education Center is celebrating two of it staff members:  Liza Hernandez, who was named Rookie of the Year, and Joanne Hunt, who was chosen as Teacher of the Year.

     Hernandez has taught at the school for five years and instructs students in grades 6 - 8.

     Hunt has 12 years of experience at BGEC and teaches reading, also to students in grades 6 - 8.

     The school is at 15901 NW 79th Ave. in Miami Lakes. There are 1,490 students enrolled in grades Pre-K - 8.

     It is named for Bob Graham, a former state representative, former Florida governor and former U.S. senator. 

      Graham is also a member of the family that founded the Town of Miami Lakes.
