Parents who wish to register their children in voluntary pre-kindergarten at Bob Graham Education Center may pick up forms at the school starting on Feb. 1.
All paperwork must be returned to the school, at 15901 NW 79th Ave., by Feb. 25 in order to be entered into a lottery for admittance during the 2022-23 school year.
Parents or guardians who wish to enroll their children will need to follow all registration requirements to be entered into the lottery.
A child’s official, original birth certificate, two forms of proof of address (a deed or lease agreement and an FPL statement) must be brought to the school.
Also required is a student physical examination form 3040 and certificate of immunization form 680.
The certificate of eligibility and other guidelines for VPK applications to Miami-Dade County schools may be found on www.vpkhelp.org.
Students must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 to enroll in the upcoming school year.
Parents will be notified of acceptance via Zoom on Feb. 25, according to Jenel Romero, an assistant principal at Bob Graham Education Center.
Any parents who cannot attend a meeting via Zoom will receive a phone call.
