Bob Graham Education Center’s Bobcat Dance Team continues their competition season for the 2015-2016 school year. They attended The American Dance Alliance State Competition on January 17, held at Florida International University under the direction of their coach, Mayri Martinez.
The Bobcat Dance Team competed in 3 team categories and entered five solos in the middle school division. They were awarded second place in Lyrical, second place in the Open, and fourth place in the Jazz routine. They also won an overall Sweepstake Award for competing in three or more categories.
The dancers demonstrated their growth, artistically and emotionally, as they performed their solos, against 31 other soloists, and blossomed as mature dancers. The next destination for the team is the Contest of Champions National Dance Competition set to take place in Orlando.
