High school and college students who are looking for government experience to help them succeed in their professional careers can apply for Miami-Dade Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr.’s internship program that serves the constituents of District 13.

The program is open to students 16 years-old and older who also need community service hours for high school and college credits.

The program will facilitate students with hands-on experience, knowledge, skills and the tools that will help each of them in their future endeavors.

If selected, each of the interns will assist in the following areas:

• Receive, forward and find solutions for constituent concerns;

• Attend a variety of community events on behalf of Commissioner Bovo;

• Work with local municipalities, cities and County Government to provide effective services to District 13.

To apply for the program, students must complete an online application, and email the important documents to Bovolnfo@Miamidade.gov.

The application includes a one-page cover letter explaining why applicants would like to intern for Commissioner Bovo, current resume, two letters of recommendation, and a college or high school transcript

If the application is approved, a staff member from Bovo’s office will contact the applicant to schedule an interview.

For more information, call Bovo’s downtown and district offices at 305-375-4831 and 305-820-8224.
